When a title page mentions only a place name and possibly a year, then this place name is listed in the register under its first letter, and the reference number of the book follows after the names of the publishers/printers.
x : the publisher/printer moved his business and therefore published or produced books in more than one place; the publisher/printer was established in more than one place when he published or produced the book. E.g. Theodor Phillip Calvisius (cf. 982)
x, followed by a number: the title page doesn’t mention a publisher, but more than one place name, and possibly a year. Those place names are listed in the register under their first letter, and the reference number of the book, marked by the letter x, follows after the names of publishers/printers. E.g. no. 762.
Fictitious place names are not listed.
